The
National Museum of Ethnology |
|
Globalization
seems to make our world become increasingly smaller,
backed by the rapid flow and exchange of people,
commodities, and information. Today we have easier
access to what we want and enjoy greater convenience
in everyday life. On the other hand, globalization
has given rise to a number of problems such as
conflicts of different cultural elements worldwide. |
|
The
National Museum of Ethnology (Minpaku) is an Inter-University
Research Institute, housing a research center
and museum all in one. It hosts an extensive collection
of artifacts, some 255,000 in total, from all
over the world. Of these, about 12,000 items are
on display in the regular exhibition. |
